Service Agreements
All too often customers sign a "service" contract without knowing exactly what they are getting for their money. At Sartorius we believe in giving full details about the varied and flexible solutions that we offer for your weighing equipment, so that you can see that you are getting exactly what you pay for.
Sartorius provide the following service contract options:
BasiCal Contract
Our BasiCal agreement provides a solution for customers who only need a light clean and a calibration test with a certificate issued. We will carry this out and produce a certificate with "as found" readings on the linearity, repeatability and eccentricity (corner loading) of the machine. If necessary, adjustments are made that do not require any mechanical repairs. In these instances an "as left" certificate is issued which shows the post adjustment readings for linearity, repeatability and eccentricity. A calibration sticker is also attached to the equipment. If any equipment requires mechanical repairs/adjustments for repeatability or corner errors this will be identified and charged as extra if required.
This low cost contract is upfront and honest. The certificate issued meets the requirements of ISO9000 and the United Kingdom Weighing Federation codes of pratcice or UKAS if required.
Applications:
Low use equipment
New more reliable equipment
Low end <2dp balances
Non-critical equipment that must still have a calibration certificate.
Standard Contract
The Standard agreement offers a service that consists of a light clean of the equipment and also an internal check and clean if required. A calibration check is carried out and all adjustments required to bring the machine into acceptable tolerance are made, this includes eccentric adjustments. Repeatability errors are often an indication that there is a mechanical problem that may take longer to repair than that allocated based on the price for this service. If this is the case then a separate repair will be quoted for. A certificate is issued with the "as found" and "as left" (or pre and post adjustment) readings. This is the agreement that many service providers appear to quote for yet only supply something equivalent to the BasiCal service. The certificate issued meets the requirements of ISO9000 and the United Kingdom Weighing Federation codes of practice or UKAS if required.
Applications:
High use equipment
High-end balances
Older equipment
Super Contract
The Super contract has all of the features of the Standard contract with call outs to breakdowns included. This means that you are covered for all costs such as the travel time and labour costs that are needed to diagnose and repair any problems that can be addressed during the call. If a machine is damaged that cannot be repaired during a visit e.g. if it requires spare parts or a full refurbishment then this will be quoted separately.
Applications:
Production critical equipment
High use equipment
Older equipment
Full Contract
The Full contract has all of the features of the Super contract together with any replacement working parts that are required when equipment fails through normal wear and tear (subject of course to availability). If a machine becomes obsolete during the term of the contract and requires parts which have since become unavailable a refund of the difference for that machine between the Full and Super agreement will be made and a discount offered on a replacement equivalent machine.
Applications:
Production critical equipment
High use equipment
High cost new equipment or systems
