Moisture

|
| For fast and accurate moisture analysis
of foods, the heating element must reach the required temperature
quickly and heat the sample evenly.
With older halogen heating elements, the sample is hotter directly
beneath the tubular element, which causes uneven drying and less
reliable results.
Sartorius has introduced the Coiled Quartz Radiator,
a new type of element that heats up rapidly and offers an even distribution
of heat, which avoids the risks of scorching the sample and distorting
the results.
Heating of the CQR element is better regulated which makes it less
likely to "overshoot" the target temperature. This means
shorter analysis times and more reliable and repeatable moisture
analysis.
